i got back home on the 14th of december. before that i was in canberra and melbourne. on the 13th, i hope on an early flight to melbourne to meet up with my friend, CK for a place to crash for the night. before i left for the airport in canberra, i left a note on the fridge for my house mate to make sure he keeps the place clean... hopefully he does... and to go easy on my stash of liquid goodness.
first impression of melbourne... hot, the weather is hotter than canberra. i arrived in melbourne in the afternoon so plans was to meet up with CK and have lunch. to meet up i have to take the sky bus to a central station and from there, catch a train to clayton. this shows how tiny canberra is compared to melbourne. after dumping my luggage, we walked to clayton shops. we ate lunch at chinese restaurant where i ordered the best "char-siu-siu-yok" rice in OZ! and the portion was HUGE. after lunch we played a few rounds of Heroes of Newerth, lepak and its time for dinner.
we hopped on a bus from monash clayton to... er somewhere to another rows of shops. we had dinner at a chinese restaurant, cafe de hong kong style. i ordered seafood baked rice... and it was awesome and i washed it down with bubble tea. WHY DONT THEY HAVE EM IN CANBERRA!? nothing much to do after dinner, so it was early off to bed. next day, my flight is at 10am so i left early bout 7am. got back bout 3pm in the afternoon and 1st destination was to the mamak and eat some 'roti-telor-bawang'!
